I’m 99% sure I saw him last year. I got permission to hunt a sizable property last fall and on my very first sit there a buck with a very similar rack walked through but I couldn’t get a shot. So I put that cam there early this spring.
He survived! He'll be bigger this year. 😉

Thank you for not naming bucks that you get pictures of, oh and getting trail camera pictures of a buck does not equate to a history with that buck. Hunting shows disgust me.

I’m with you, I have not watched a hunting show in well over 20 years. Can’t stand them! Shame a lot of younger guys are emulating those TV / you tube guys. I do name my deer but it’s after the kill, Pastrami, dry beef, burger, sausage are popular names. 😁

I almost took out buck on my way work this morning. I didn’t catch how many points but I’m pretty sure there more mower than a dozen.
He left a bit of hair on the front of my truck but it didn’t slow him down any. I think he will be fine.
Many years ago I shot a buck that was running through the woods just fine. He had a 12” spike on one side and a 3 inch spike on the other. The 3” spike had a little hook on the end, kind of like a can opener. When we skinned him out we learned that sometime along he broke his back. His rib cage was all twisted around (about a quarter turn on his body). Weirdest looking thing you ever did see. He ate well, though. By that I mean he was very tasty!

Our guess is he was hit by a car and broke his back, but survived and thrived after healing.

Tough critters About 15 years ago I shot a decent buck that went to the taxidermist. When I went and picked him up the guy handed me the jaw bones. He had broken his jaw pretty good at some point and it healed over.

Animals are very resistant for sure.
There was a Turkey walking here for about 3 years with an arrow through its neck.
Animal control tried catching it may times with no luck.

Wow! That is impressive also! To have survived and gotten nourishment until the jaw healed is amazing.

Animals are survivalists, they will do whatever needed to make it on their own ! People on the other hand have learned to cry and whine about everything being someone else's fault and can't help themselves.

This reminded me of a guy I used to work with.
If you were injured and bleeding he was more than capable of helping you out but if he cut himself he would literally pass out and hit the floor at the sight of his own blood. It was so strange.
